The EAC List 2023 includes:
The new UN numbers (3497-3506)
Updates for the UN Numbers which were reviewed in ADR 2021
Revised codes for infectious substances and UN Numbers not applicable to the carriage of dangerous goods under RID or ADR
Improved recommendations for thermal hazards
The EAC List 2023 supersedes the 2021 list and is effective from 1 July 2023. The 2021 List should no longer be used from that date.
GHS Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals 10th Revised Edition
The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) is the
culmination of more than a decade of work. There were many individuals involved, from a multitude of
countries, international organizations, and stakeholder organizations. Their work spanned a wide range of
expertise, from toxicology to fire protection, and ultimately required extensive goodwill and the willingness
to compromise, in order to achieve this system.
